The Oberholtzer Tradition Begins

Lavern's grandfather begins making sorghum, establishing a tradition of quality and craftsmanship that continues today.

Two Traditions Grow

The Oberholtzer family introduces custom steam-heated cooking pans, refining the process while preserving tradition. At the same time, the Guenther family continues building its own respected sorghum-making heritage.

A Partnership Emerges

LaVern Oberholtzer takes over the family business and partners with Conrad Guenther, who joined the Oberholtzer family through marriage. Together, they combine two generations of sorghum-making experience to continue the family tradition.
